Lobitzweg with a new usage concept

Inspiration Group lets around 2,700 square meters of commercial space with a new social-usage concept

The Inspiration Group has rented around 2,700 square metres of commercial space in Lobitzweg 1–5 in Berlin-Köpenick for 15 years. The new users are a non-profit organisation for youth education and a private provider for student accommodation.

The property, which was built in 1973, was previously largely used as storage space and stood like a foreign body in the middle of a residential area. After the existing rental contracts expired, the electrical installation, entrance area, stairwells and windows were renewed. In addition, the facade was given a completely new and modern look according to the plans of the Berlin design agency Visible Identities.

With the rental to the Technical Youth Education Association in Praxis e. V. (TJP e.V.) and a company for student accommodation, users who meet social aspects were specifically selected. The TJP e. V. offers various training and leisure areas. A day-care centre with 120 places is also planned. In addition, four shared flats with a total of 40 furnished single rooms for student living are being built on the upper floors.

Goor Rosenberg, CEO of the Inspiration Group, comments, ‘Berlin-Köpenick is becoming more and more attractive as a district for families and students. This also increases the need for children’s and youth facilities and student living space. We are convinced that the offered living and leisure areas here fit in well with the surroundings and that the building will now become an integral part of the neighbourhood. We plan to keep and manage the property. This usage concept guarantees an attractive and stable return for our investors in the long term.’
