Inspiration Group lets 3,800 square metres of space in Berlin-Tempelhof

Berlin, 26 May 2021 − The Inspiration Group, a privately-owned real estate investment company based in Berlin, has let 3,800 square metres of office and studio space in GODU, in Berlin-Tempelhof to Gesellschaft für Stadtentwicklung (GSE) of the State of Berlin and EJM Logistic & Innovation.

The property at Gottlieb-Dunkel-Strasse 43-44, which was constructed in 1994 as an office and administration building, provides a total lettable area of around 10,400 square metres. It has been part of the Inspiration Group’s real estate portfolio since 2018.

One of the new tenants of the property, built in 1994 as an office and administration building, is the non-profit Gesellschaft für Stadtentwicklung (GSE), which acts on behalf of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe (SenKE). It has rented two floors with a total of 1,700 square metres of studio space. The rooms of various sizes are rented to visual artists within the framework of a selection process carried out by the studio office at the bkk berufsverband bildender künstler*innen berlin e. V. (professional association of visual artists in Berlin). In addition, a further 800 square metres of rental space was leased to GSE from 1 July this year for the SenKE’s workspace programme. The leases are for ten-year terms.

The second new occupier, EJM Group, which operates as an online retailer concentrating on consumer electronics and household appliances, has taken 1,300 square metres of office space an eight-year term and will establish its headquarters within the property.

The nine-storey GODU stands on an around 3,800 square metre site, on which there are also around 61 underground and 60 surface parking spaces.

Tempelhof is part of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district of Berlin. Situated close to the city centre, in recent years it has become a lively residential and commercial location. The structure of the district features a well-balanced mix of large companies, craft and SME businesses.
